Travel Update 1

Eyup - Flights to and from Geneva are back to normal already. Phew.

Flights:
East Mids: Tuesday and Sat flights with BMI baby - still decent prices but book now.
Luton and Gatwick: 6 a day between them with cheap coach links all over Yookay.
Lufthansa are doing indirect flights from Bham very and flexible on dates, but be prepared to go via Frankfurt (total travel times 4-5 hours).
If you're flying from London, try BA first as they're often as cheap as the budget airlines.

Remember to book a car from Geneva airport as far in advance as possible - much cheaper.

Trains:
A little bridesmaid has informed us that it's cheaper to book the train travel in stages. Give us some more info Em's and I'll put it up. What's the best site to use for booking trains?

Cars:
Can you give us a shout if you're coming by car as there are a few bits and pieces (not bulky) that we need bringing out - and remember - Norfolklines are the best ferry company by miles and even coped fine over the past couple of weeks.

Transfers from Geneva to St Gervais:
If you are thinking of getting a minibus transfer to or from the airport there are 2 options. The first is to hold tight and we'll try and coordinate some shared transfers closer to the time (probably 25€ each way all the way to your accommodation) - or if you're keen www.chamexpress.com offer the best shuttle service - though pick-up and drop-off points are a 10 minute taxi/car ride away - again at €25 each way.

AND PLEASE...
If you know your travel and accommodation details, please enter them into the form so that we know that people are sorted and can coordinate shizzle as best as possible from this end.

Accommodation Update 1

Cheapy cheap cheap.... This place sleeps 4-6 (only one bedroom) for £370....

Have a look - and give me a shout if you're interested as I'd like to speaker to the owner about adding his place to the Ski5D books!

All Ski5D stuff has now gone apart from Les Hiboux - which is a car-ride (10mins) away, but does sleep 6 and would be £500 for the week.... It also has a sauna!

Tonnes of other apartments are available, but if you're thinking of camping I would certainly be looking to book in the next couple of days!

Travel

By air: fly into geneva airport. There are lots of cheap flights available. We recommend hiring a car and driving from there (1 hour) but if you're really not keen on being on the right then transfers are available through www.geneva-airport-transfers.com or www.resortrides.com ... tell them you’re coming for our wedding!

BMI Baby are doing EMA - Geneva return on tuesdays. Anyone else coming from Notts... there are stacks of flights from Luton and the coach costs buggerall from Notts and is quick.

By train: Travel is to St-Gervais Le Fayet, with a change in Paris. A brilliant and comfortable option.

By car: we recommend norfolk lines ferries for the best crossing. The drive from Dunkirk takes about 8 hours.

Bike: believe it or not, someone is cycling here. Respect due.
